Recreational Trails:

Trails rated 1-3 on a scale of 10 with 10 as the most difficult. Trails feature obstacles that are easy to navigate. In optimum weather conditions, some of these trails may not require continual use of four-wheel drive (4WD).

Challenge Trails:

Trails rated 4-7 on a scale of 10 with 10 as the most difficult. Trails are moderately demanding and require 4WD. You may encounter a variety of challenges, including hill climbs/descents, mud holes, boulders and stream crossings, on the trail. Higher rated trails (6-7) may require the use of front and/or rear locking differentials.

Other Equipment Required: Front & Rear Tow Points1, Tow Strap2.

Other Equipment Recommended: 31" or Larger Tires, Transfer Case Skid Plate, Locking Differentials, Winch, Tree Saver Strap, High-lift Jack.

Difficult Trails:

Trails rated 8-9 on a scale of 10 with 10 as the most difficult. The likelihood of getting stuck or incurring damage is considerably higher than the Challenge Trails. Mud holes may be deep and rock climbing is more arduous. Locking differentials required on virtually all 8-9 trails.

Other Equipment Required: Front & Rear Tow Points1, Tow Strap2, Locking Rear Differential, High-lift Jack, Transfer Case Skid Plate, Full-size Spare.

Other Equipment Recommended: 35" or Larger Tires, Locking Front Differential, Winch, Tree Saver Strap.

Other Equipment Required: Front & Rear Tow Points1, Tow Strap2, Locking Front & Rear Differential, Winch, Tree Saver Strap, High-lift Jack, Transfer Case Skid Plate, Full-size Spare.

Other Equipment Recommended: 37" or Larger Tires.

Full-size Trails:

Trails rated 2-10 on a scale of 10 with 10 as the most difficult. These trails are specifically for full-size vehicles. Narrow passages and tight turns will be largely avoided. Trails will vary in difficulty and most will have alternate, less difficult bypass routes.

Other Equipment Required: Front & Rear Tow Points1, Tow Strap2, Full-size Spare.

Other Equipment Recommended: 31" or Larger Tires, Transfer Case Skid Plate, Locking Differentials, Winch, Tree Saver Strap, High-lift Jack.

These ratings are based on the trail overall, not just on one or two tough spots. Rain can increase ratings by one or two points. Please remember, all vehicles are subject to inspection prior to trail departure. Numerically higher-rated trails are more likely to result in vehicular damage. Regardless of the rating and your experience level, you’ll get plenty of help. Our motto is, "No one gets left behind."

1Tow points must must be frame-mounted or a properly rated 2" receiver hitch with pin.

2Tow straps should be made of nylon webbing, rated for at least 20,000 lbs and 2" wide. Metal hooks on the ends of tow straps are not allowed.

Competition Information
All competitions are for fun. The winners in each class will receive a plaque.

Blind Man's Bluff:

How good is the communication between you and your spotter? Hope it's good. In this competition, the driver is blindfolded. The spotter gives directions through a course from inside the vehicle. The team with the fastest time and fewest penalties wins.

Technical Trail:

Can you pick your way through trees, hairpin turns and hill-climbs without going off the course or backing up? If so, then the Technical Trail may be the place for you. The winner will be the driver with the fewest penalties for hitting cones or backing up. In the event of a points tie the fastest time wins.

Rock Race:

If your rig can take the abuse and you can keep it upright you might just win the rock race. We'll be running through the Rock Garden in two classes - tires that measure 36.5" and smaller and tires that measure larger than 36.5".

Timed Tire Change:

We've all had to do it before, but how fast can you do it ... change a tire that is. You'll be provided the vehicle, the jack and a lug wrench. The rest is up to you. Fastest time wins.
